Want to join in on the fun by contributing to the Ham Radio Village at DEF CON 31? The call for everything is now open!
Like last year, our CFE is split into three different versions:
We are looking for presentations, demonstrations, experiments, discussions, and anything else related to amateur radio that you would like to share with the world at DEF CON 31!
If you have something that you've been wanting to share about amateur radio, now is the time! Even if you think your topic is "weird", someone at DEF CON will take interest in it!
If you've been looking to give back to the amateur radio community, this is a great way to introduce others to the hobby, network with others, and have a good time within the Ham Radio Village!
Village staff are responsible for helping people navigate the Ham Radio Village, answer questions people may have about the amateur radio hobby, run demonstration tables, help with setup/teardown, and any additional logistics to help the HRV get the amateur radio hobby out to the masses of DEF CON!
If you've been looking to give back to the amateur radio community, this is a great way to get others into the hobby by helping them get their license while at DEF CON!
Volunteer examiners (VEs) are the backbone of the HRV, and help extend the tradition of free amateur radio license testing at DEF CON conferences for years! Last year we've administered 381 exams with the help of VEs.
